Club Membership

Terms and Conditions

Club Membership costs £20.00 per year for adults £15.00 per year for O.A.P.s and £10.00 per year for juniors this entitles you to fish the Walsall Canal stretch from Midland road bridge to Willenhall road bridge at any time without any charge.

The normal day ticket price for non members will be £2.50 for adults £2.00 for O.A.P.s and £1.50 for juniors per day, tickets can be purchased on the bank from our baliff. All monies taken from day tickets and membership fees will be used to pay for the lease, insurance costs, and maintenance for the following year.

Should this exeed the above costs the clubs members will vote on how the remaining money will be used at the last meeting of the year. Each club member will receive at the end of the financial year a copy of the clubs finances. All meetings will be displayed on the Events page of this website, members who cannot attend should call the club to make them aware of your absence.

Day Tickets

 

Day tickets can be purchased by ringing this number 07776825552 or through paypal by clicking on the link, you must submit a mobile telephone number or email address in the space provided. After payment is received you will be sent a code which you must have with you for the duration

of your stay at the canal.

Competitions

 

There will be competitions every Sunday, you must be at the canal for 08:30 and the draw for pegs will be made at 08:45. The competition will start at 10:00am and finish at 15:00. Entry for the Sunday competition will cost £12.50 for non members and £10.00 for members, prizes will be awarded as follows:

 

First place 50%

Second place 30%

Third place 20%

(in the event that more than 30 anglers compete then section prizes will also be awarded)

Rules

​

No bloodworm or Joker.

No floating baits.

No pike to be weighed in.

One rod/pole with one hook in the water.

All anglers must be in posession of a landing net.

Anyone seen breaking these rules will be disqualified.

Renting of the stretch for competitions

​

Renting of the water for competitions is possible, however you must give us a minimum of two weeks notice so that all members are aware the competition is taking place and we can give prior warning to all users of the canal. This peg tends to produce some big tench the majority of them caught on sweetcorn.

Please note: Adult membership is for a person who is aged 18 and until the day before 65th birthday. Junior membership is for a person aged below 18 years. O.A.P membership is for a person aged 65 or over.

Fishing tight to the willow tree in this peg has seen 30lb plus nets of Bream. Castor and Sweetcorn seem to be the top baits to lure the Bream here which have an average weight of 2-3lb a fish.
